Vacation!

I am flying out of Des Moines tomorrow and heading twoards Phoenix for the week. I am going to get some much needed R&R. I'm looking forward to sunshine and warmth. the main thing I will be doing for the three days I will be away...GOLF!

One of my buddies from church is making this happen with his frequent flyer miles and we are heading south! I am so excited.

Another thing that I am excited about is the fact that my buddy, Mark is also coming on my leadership team as our church treasurer. This time away with just the two of us will be awesome.

Sorry about the cold weather in the Midwest...

The guys

Tonight I took my boys out for a movie and then to dinner. We saw the movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and then ate dinner at Hickory Park. With Josh going to school in Minnesota, and Zach not living at home, I do not have these opportunities very often. Cindy had to work, so we guys went out.

I can't say that the movie was very good, because it wasn't. I hate it when the aliens just decide to go home! We just had burgers at Hickory Park, so that wasn't too exciting either. I must say though that I had a wonderful time. I am not thrilled with every decision my boys have ever made, but I am pretty proud of both of them. It was a delight to have them alone for a few hours.
Sure I got stuck with the bill, but what are dad's for??? Best $30 I've spent in a long time. Maybe I should make that (INVEST!)
