Whose Idea Was That?

I was challenged yesterday with something that I really have not given a lot of thought to. I have asked my elders to do several 'stretching' things over the last month or two. One of the elders challenged me yesterday if this was my idea or if it was God's idea.

I know that it is a very hard thing not to read into a situation with your own personal bias, but doesn't that also tie the hands of a leader that someone could always be accusing him of a hidden agenda? It seems like an almost impossible task.

The incident between the elder and I was far from a comfortable one. It didn't end very well. I had a tough day yesterday trying to decipher the wisdom from it, because I know that there was some truth to what I was being told. I just had to sort the chaff from the wheat. the elder did come back in before prayer meeting and apologized.

I'm just trying to sort the whole thing out...

This week

God has been unbelievably good to us this week. Cindy landed a daycare center director position that she didn't even go looking for. They contacted her! It will be decent money, but more than that it will get her back into the education field where she belongs.

Friday during pre-marital counseling, both Zach and Andrea made decisions for Christ. Zach re-dedicated his life, and Andrea received Christ as her Savior. We are so very happy for both of them and are confident that this is exactly the way that they need to begin their relationship together.

Josh is now home on Spring Break. He and I will get the boat into the water this week, and also find our way to the golf course once or twice. Cindy and I have both commented how much we miss that kid while he is away to college. He is thinking about trying to get into the military again.

Went to Phoenix for a quick golf outing
Went to KC to interview three men for licensing with the C&MA
Went to OK to see Cindy's grandparents (golfed there too)
Had Josh and his new (special) friend Katie home for a weekend
Started teaching spring classes at DMACC
Saw our attendance at church climb over 250 on a regular basis
Started the process of changing staff
Subbed a few times in the local high schools
Finished a preaching series on miracles
Enjoyed a sunny day today on a local golf course

In the next month I plan to...

Go to Omaha next week for about three days
Marry my oldest son to Andrea Miller on March 21
Prepare for The Power Team March 25-29
Get ready for Easter on April 12
