The Rural Church

These are the day-to-day thoughts from Pastor Jeff Lawson. I pastor a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Battle Lake, MN. This blog will hopefully help everyone who desires to pastor a church in a rural setting...

Here Come the Holidays...

Another month has passed since I had my Gastric Bypass surgery. My life has changed a lot over the last four months. Food is no longer a huge part of my life. I tell myself everyday, it's only food. I don't have to have it. Cookies, cakes, brownies, and junk food is a thing of the past for me.

I have found myself eating a lot of fruit and dairy products. I am still not great with meat, but my throwing up has really slowed down. I just do not have a huge appetite. This fact shows in my pant sizes dropping. I am now very comfortable in a size 38 jeans!

Here are my monthly measurements:

Neck 15 3/4
Chest 45 1/2
Belly 49 1/2
Butt/Hips 43
Bicep 14 1/4
Thigh 20 1/2
Calf 15
Weight 217

I am going to the YMCA every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I am also walking three days a week that I am not going to the gym. I am hoping to get myself under 200 pounds by January 1, 2010.
I do appreciate all of your prayers.
